Iris Recognition at Up to 50cm Distance

Unlike fingerprint or face recognition that requires the user to be close to the device, the UBio-X Iris reads and verifies the iris from a comfortable distance of up to 50 centimeters. The built-in auto-tilt camera automatically adjusts its angle based on the height of the user, meaning no positioning or stopping is required. Users simply walk up to the device and authentication happens naturally — fast, clean, and completely contactless.

Authenticated Even With Glasses, Masks and Protective Clothing

One of the most significant advantages of iris recognition over face recognition is its ability to authenticate users regardless of what they are wearing. The UBio-X Iris accurately reads through glasses, surgical masks, protective goggles, niqabs, and hijabs — making it the ideal solution for healthcare environments, clean rooms, industrial facilities, and any setting where PPE or religious dress is common. Authentication is never compromised by what the user is wearing.

Fastest Iris Matching Speed Available

The UBio-X Iris uses a high-performance iris algorithm capable of matching 40,000 iris templates in under one second. Combined with fingerprint matching at 100,000 templates per second, the device delivers near-instant authentication even in high-traffic locations. There is no waiting, no queue, and no user frustration.

FBI-Certified Fingerprint Sensor

The embedded fingerprint sensor in the UBio-X Iris has been certified to FBI PIV and Mobile ID FAP 20 specifications — the gold standard for fingerprint recognition accuracy and security. This certification means the fingerprint data captured by the device meets the strictest government and law enforcement standards, making the UBio-X Iris suitable for the most demanding identity verification programs.

Thermal Detection Integration

The UBio-X Iris can be integrated with a thermal sensor to measure body temperature at the point of access. Users with elevated temperatures are automatically denied entry and the event is logged on the server — a critical feature for hospitals, schools, government buildings, and any facility with health screening requirements.
